It is far easier for us to keep our scars hidden from others-choosing to share only the loveliest of moments on our news feeds and in conversations.
When we do this, we limit the capacity of which we can relate to one another. Whether it is adding filters in pictures or avoiding conversations, I have come to realize that true beauty is found in genuine transparency and authenticity.
There is nothing more liberating than embracing yourself entirely. When we free ourselves from the past we can begin the process of moving forward, accepting and rejoicing in the sunshine.
In Him we have redemption through His Blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His Grace –
Ephesians 1:7 NIV
My hope is that you are able to take one step closer to knowing that your voice is heard, your feelings are valid, and that YOU my dear are extraordinary!
I believe we can minister to one another through our diverse perspectives. When we embrace the authenticity of our own stories (and share), we allow ourselves and our relationships to cultivate into something far greater than we could ever imagine.
May we each remember these few simple truths along the way:
You are valued.
You have worth.
You are not alone.
You are loved.
You’re not defined by who the world says you are.
Or the mistakes that you have made.
You are a part of something bigger than yourself.
There is light on the other side of trial.
Our past can be just that.
I know first hand the beauty that can be found in redemption. My heart desires to walk alongside you genuinely as we find comfort in our human similarities and share our differences with one another in an enlightening way. All people deserve to know this freedom.
When we each do our part, we can stride forward toward our sunshine.
