Hi, I’m Julie!
I’m a connector and pioneer, deeply passionate about cultivating intentional relationships and spaces—not just physical ones, but emotional, spiritual, and relational environments where people can grow, heal, and be truly known.
I’m wired to build—spaces where truth is welcomed, stories are honored, and transformation is possible.
That’s where @theoak&hygge was born.
The Heart Behind Oak & Hygge
Some of my favorite moments happen in slow, unhurried mornings—black coffee in hand, worship music playing, wrapped in a cozy blanket, and lost in a conversation that goes far beneath the surface.
I’m drawn to environments where we can peel back the layers and uncover what’s real.
Where we pause long enough to listen, reflect, imagine, and then bring new possibilities to action.
Why “Oak”?
The oak tree symbolizes everything I hope to hold space for:
Strength. Healing. Resilience. Truth. Courage. Spiritual depth. Rooted community.
It reminds us that lasting growth comes from humble beginnings—from deep roots and patient tending that allow us to withstand life’s storms with grace.
To me, the oak represents whole, integrated relationships—with God, with ourselves, and with others.
A life that’s grounded, adaptable, and unshakably anchored.
And “Hygge”?
It’s more than cozy aesthetics.
It’s about intentional presence—an atmosphere of safety, belonging, and being fully seen.
Since I was young, I’ve gravitated toward creating spaces like this—where people feel deeply welcomed and truly known.
It’s never been about being fancy. It’s about being intentional. Hospitality that prioritizes connection over performance.
In my home, after-dinner conversations always matter more than a spotless kitchen.
The dishes can wait if laughter and vulnerability are still filling the room.
I believe something sacred happens when we make room—emotionally and spiritually—for others to just be.
Oak & Hygge Is a Posture, Not a Place
It’s an invitation to build stronger, more meaningful relationships—whether one-on-one, with couples, friends, teams, or entire communities.
This posture extends beyond the home and into professional spaces. In leadership settings, on teams, and within organizations, it looks like cultivating environments where honesty is safe, collaboration is clear, and people are empowered to lead from a place of emotional and spiritual wholeness.
Whether around a kitchen table or a conference table, the need is the same: spaces where people feel seen, valued, and free to bring their full selves. Where growth is nurtured, courage is welcomed, and meaningful connection becomes the foundation for lasting impact.
The kind of space that allows us to live deeply rooted, courageously open, and intentionally connected.
So whether you’re exploring faith, navigating a season of transition, building something new, or simply seeking rest—
You are welcome here.
You are safe here.
You are not alone.
Let’s build and grow—together.
With gratitude,
Julie
